Fixed price projects and hourlies

You can either post your project as a one off fixed price project or as an hourly. With a fixed price project, you set your budget at the start and the price you have agreed on is the price you pay. We will release funds when the freelancer has reached milestones you have set with us.

With an hourly, you agree to pay the freelancer’s hourly rate for however many hours they work (freelancers will bill you at the end of the week and we will pay them using our secure payment system).

What kind of work can I get done?

Give your freelancer a definitive and concise specification of work. Make sure you are absolutely clear on what you want out of the project. This will help you to avoid costly mistakes.

You can communicate directly with the freelancer using our secure messaging system. Discuss the project further, share files and set your freelancer up for success. Follow up any questions your freelancer might have and ask questions for yourself.

How do payments work?

Pay your freelancer per hour or per project, whichever you choose. For hourly projects, the freelancer bills you once a week, and we'll send a secure payment to your freelancer. For fixed-price projects, we'll release funds to your freelancer after they meet pre-set milestones.
